Amwell: Doctor Visits 24/7 App Reviews

If you use this just hope the doctor actually sends your prescriptions to the pharmacy because if they dont the experience becomes horrible. Was supposed to have two prescriptions per the doctor, pharmacy says doctor only sent one. The number in app to call for prescription issues is just a voicemail stating its 24hrs and calls back usually in 15mins, left two messages and still no call back three hours later. Called Amwell customer service number from google, was told would be resolved within an hour. Waited over another hour, called them again and was told this time it would take another three hours. Not once has customer service called me back and Im still waiting on a needed prescription. Should have just spent the extra money and gone to an urgent care.

2am only waited a few minute to speak to a doctor (who was very knowledgeable) all from my couch...and its even cheaper than a copay at Urgent Care!

Misleading ...insurance required. Maybe good for those with insurance but that assent stated until I gave my birthdate, email address and joined

Was feeling bad with suspected sinus infection. Did not have to leave my house. Doctor was super nice. 15 Minutes I was signed in, checked out, and had a script on its way to the pharmacy. With my insurance it was only $11. Cant beat it!!

Very happy with service

Had serious trouble getting it to connect on wifi, once wifi turned off app work well.

Its 11PM on a Friday night and my son has strep. I got the diagnosis and meds with ten minutes and my son will be on his way to recovery by morning. No waiting till we get home! No waiting till morning! What an incredibly easy platform!!

Works especially well for strep if you buy an at-home strep test kit from Amazon!

I was going to have to load my kids up and take them with me to the Urgent Care.. instead I was able to visit with a dr over my phone and the whole visit took under 5 minutes. Love it!

Traveling on business and this made it easy and affordable

I love how the app guides you through the process quickly. Once you have set up the app everything goes even faster the next visit. The physicians are thorough and dont mind providing medical knowledge when asked. I havent had a bad experience yet.

If you are looking for a quality customer experience, dont use this app. However, if you want to be subjected to waiting around on your device, hearing the same marketing message over and over, without actually getting the service this app promises to deliver than by all means, use it. I had to download this trAPP at least 3x. I waited for the first available physician ( the trAPP showed at least 5 available), only to get the message that I was the "next patient". After about an hour of this nonsense, I deleted the trAPP, and headed to the ER, since I was experiencing a mild asthma attack. I only downloaded this because I was on vacation and was without my asthma meds. Also, I called their "support" number and was told that my payment info is not stored/saved by them. However, each time I downloaded the app, my payment info, along with everything else, came up without me having to re-enter it. A bit suspicious. Disappointed is the nicest word I can think of to describe my experience

This is my first experience with telemedicine and it was fantastic. It took about 7 minutes for me to sign up and see a doctor. Fast. Easy. Highly recommended for those who dont want to wait for 3 hours at an urgent care.

Life savers as Im a single mom with tons of works. I love being able to speak with doctors when I can rather than wait on office visits!

I used this today for the first time and was highly impressed. I woke up with what I felt like was pinkeye & wanted to get it taken care of before it got worse. My appointment lasted a total of 6 minutes-doctor was very friendly and professional. Appointment was affordable at $25 instead of $75 at clinic, plus I didnt need to leave my house. I will definitely be using this service in the future!

Had a consultation but doctor wasnt able to prescribe me the antibiotics that I wanted.. so amwell refunded my money. This is a good service if you cannot get to a doctor
